Working in Audio & Sound
The audio category is where ASG Tools shows what a zero-backend platform can really do: your browser is a synthesizer. The ambient noise generator synthesizes white, pink and brown noise mathematically — sample by sample, in real time, through the Web Audio API. No audio files are downloaded, no stream is opened; the sound you hear is computed on the spot from pure math, which is why it can loop infinitely without seams or bandwidth.
Each noise color has a distinct character and use. White noise is spectrally flat — the classic focus mask for offices and travel. Pink noise distributes energy per octave the way human hearing perceives balance, which makes it the favorite for sleep and for audio calibration. Brown noise, with its deep low-frequency rumble, masks conversation and traffic better than either. The generator lets you set volume, choose a color, and optionally fade out on a timer so it can double as a sleep aid.
Because synthesis happens in an AudioContext on your device, there is nothing to intercept and nothing to upload — the audio never exists anywhere but your speakers. Later batches add tone generators, binaural beat makers and audio file analyzers to this category.
